Training where the work happens.
The project places safety training within a recognisable operational setting, connecting procedures with the locations and situations in which they are applied.
The project places safety training within a recognisable operational setting, connecting procedures with the locations and situations in which they are applied.
Training scenarios include gas-leak response and rectification, alongside the application of mine safety protocols. The simulated environment lets participants engage with these situations without being exposed to the hazards of an operating mine.
The VR simulation is the anchor training experience, giving participants an immersive view of the mine and its scenarios. A desktop simulation makes the training available on conventional computers where headsets are unavailable or unsuitable.
Environment development and scenario-based simulation, combined to make safety procedures more concrete, with both an immersive format and a widely accessible desktop option.
Training starts outside the mine, so participants orient themselves before entering the working environment.

Rails, carts, barrels and low light recreate the conditions where gas-leak response and safety protocols are practised.
